Voconia gens, a plebian family. The following silver and gold coins are extant:
1. Obv: Laureate head of Julius Ceasar right. Rev: Q VOCONIVS VITVLVS Q DESIGN, calf walking to left, S C in the field; silver. (See engraving number 1, head of article CAESAR CAIVS IVLIVS, p. 151]
2. Obv: DIVI IVLIA, laureate head of Julius Caesar right, augur's staff behind. Rev: Q VOCONIVS VITVLVS, calf walking to left, S C in the field; silver.
3. Obv: DIVI F, Bare head of Octavian right, bearded; augur's staff before. Rev: Q VOCONIVS VITVLVS Q DESIG, calf walking to left, S C in the field; gold.
4. Obv: DIVI IVLI F, Bare head of Octavian right, bearded. rev: Q VOCONIVS VITVLVS, calf walking to left; gold.
These pieceswere probably struck about 41-40 BC by Quintus Voconius Vitulus, cojointly with theose of |Tiberius| Sempronius Graechus.
