Osicerda

Please add updates or make corrections to the NumisWiki text version as appropriate.
Osicerda, a city of Hispania Tarraconensis, whose people are called by Pliny Ossigerdenses; it was admitted to the rank of a municipium under the Romans.  But the only imperial coin extant is one struck under Tiberius, on the reverse of which is inscribed MVN OSICERDA, with a bull for its type, the common symbol of a Roman Municipium. - Its autonomous coins bear celtiberian and latino-celtiberian legends.  There are coins of this city which also bear the name of Sesaraca, as in alliance.
