I just received this book via a friend in Turkey (the price is much lower there than from sellers in Western Europe) and thought I would let you all know something about it.
It is hardback with a total of 268 pages of text and 55 plates, the first 31 in black and white (the b/w images in mine were more like light grey, so not as clear as they could be) and the remaining 24 in beautiful color, most enlarged for clarity and including one color plate of coins from the Boston MFA and one plate from BMC.
The first 169 pages are the information and catalog pages in Turkish and the last 100 pages are the English version. These include indices of types and symbols; kings and emperors; magistrates; deities; correlation to the coins in the Anatolian Civilizations museum, and a nicely concise summary of the history of Ancyra and its mint. The rest of the English pages comprise of the catalog itself. Each entry has its own number, obverse legend (in upper case), obverse description, reverse legend (in upper case), reverse description, inventory number, size, weight and die rotation and additional references from works such as BMC, SNG von Aulock, SNG France, Hunterian, Imhoof, Lindgren, various RPC, Mionnet and several other works by Arslan.
At the end of the main catalog and before the plates are two additional lists of Franke 's Ancyran collection in Munich (Augustus to Valerian) and a 2-page appendix of "other recorded types" (Tiberius to Salonina) with short descriptions and reference numbers.
Definitely a book to have!
