ADFINIS (Affinis) Cousin. By this term of relationship Constantius I is called on 2nd and 3rd brass medals of consecration and dedication, struck under Maxentius, viz. IMP MAXENTIVS CONSTANTIO ADFINI - See Affinity and Kindred.

ADFINIS or Affinis. Cousin. By this term of relationship Constantius Chlorus is called, on second and third brass of Consecration and Remembrance, struck under Maxentius, viz. IMP MAXENTIVS DIVO CONSTANTIO. ADFINI. -
The term COGN. or COGNAT. (Cognato), is also used on other coins dedicated by Maxentius to the memory of his kinsman. - See Aeterna Memoria.
