Note that Bruun's typology of helmets on vota coinage [ROME 143-193] differs slightly from the standard one (see Appendix on p. 348). For example, "the bowl-shaped helmet with a long crest extended to the back of the helmet has been marked D6". D7 is reserved only for a bowl-shaped helmet with "high but short feathery crest" and "narrow stripe along the lower edge decorated with dots, probably indicating that the laureate wreath has been replaced by a diadem of pearls and/or jewels".
