Coin Type: Holed silver anonymous Roman Republican denarius. Mint and Date: Rome mint, 115-114 BCE. Size and Weight: 20mm x 21mm, 3.71g Obverse: Head of Roma right in winged and crested Corinthian helmet. X behind, ROMA below. Reverse: Roma, fully draped and helmeted, seated right on a pile of shields; helmet on ground behind feet; spear in left hand, butt down in front and slanted over her shoulder; right hand on knee; two birds flying inwards in field to left and right; she-wolf suckling twins at her feet.
