Note: The chain is plated brass, and modern, with a modern clasp. It is quite worn from use. The clasp is stuck shut. The loop is of iron, also quite worn, and possibly ancient; or at least it is not obviously of the same date as the chain and its fastener. The coin is also very worn, mostly exposing the bare metal.
