C. DECIMIUS FLAVUS

His ancestor of the same name, was Tribune of the Soldiers in 209 B.C. He rescued M. Claudius Marcellus from defeat by repulsing a charge of Hanibal's elephants. The previous Flavus was made Praetor Urbanus in 184 B.C. and died the same year.
