All coinage of Methana is . This coin is known to us only from the referenced LHS Numismatik AG auction, which references an example in Numismatic Commentary on Pausanias (1887) by F. Imhoof-Blumer and P.
Methana was an obscure town a few miles of Troezen. Pausanias (ii. 34) mentions hot the springs which burst forth near this city in the time of Gonatas. The region bears evidences of violent volcanic action.RP12669. Bronze AE 21,
