Description

Bronze coin of Kavaros, the last Gaulish king of Thrace (ca. 225-218 BC). AE18. 6,29 gm. VF. Beautiful dark patina. Rare.

Obverse: Laureate head of Apollo right.

Reverse: Nike standing left, holding wreath and palm. Greek legend BASILEWS KAYAPOY to sides, monogram in left field.
