Description

Silver Antoninianus of Commodus. This was part of a series struck c.250-51 A.D., by Trajan Decius, to revive worship of former deified Emperors and to recall the glory days of Rome. VF/VF+. 3,8 gm.

Obverse: DIVO COMMODO. Radiate head of Commodus, facing right.

Reverse: CONSECRATIO. Eagle standing on a scepter right, head turned left.
